Mr. Marnell II's 50-year journey into architecture and construction began as the son of an Italian masonry contractor at a young age. His early experiences working alongside his father instilled a rebellious spirit against traditional design, a trait that would later define his innovative approach in the industry. This spirit, coupled with his B.A. in architecture from the University of Southern California and mentorship under architect Alfred Caldwell, led to a professional journey that included stints at Moffett & McDaniel Architects and Zuni Construction Company.

Upon joining Corrao Construction Co. Inc., Mr. Marnell II made a significant change when he became the company’s president of Marnell Corrao Associates. His unique approach of combining architecture and construction as one service, a pioneering concept at the time, gave new opportunities and freedom to clients. Tony was the only architect/builder offering a complete service for several decades, showcasing his innovative thinking and impact on the industry as a Master Builder. A truly Renaissance approach to Design-Build propelled Marnell Companies and their associates to earn international acclaim on the most recognizable and renowned resorts, hotels, and gaming properties to bear this unique approach. His past projects contributing to Vintage Las Vegas include Mirage, Rio, Maxim Hotel, Treasure Island, Wynn, Sundance Hotel, Bellagio, and Excalibur, significantly shaping his hometown. His additions to Caesar's Palace, Desert Inn, Sands, Stardust, California, Frontier, and Dunes Hotels further solidify his legacy in Las Vegas. His impact on the city's architectural identity, inspiring and transformative, is awe-inspiring. In 1989, when he built the Rio Hotel & Casino, Inc., Mr. Marnell held the prestigious position of Chairman of the Board of Chief Executive Officer of the company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Rio Suite Hotel & Casino, until its acquisition by Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. on January 1, 1999. The M Resort, another groundbreaking design-build from Marnell, which opened in 2009, embodies a unique blend of family values, luxury, and community focus. The resort showcases a family-driven design complemented by luxurious amenities.

In 2004 Tony initiated his quest to construct America's first High Speed Railroad from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. In 2024, twenty years later, construction on America's first High Speed Railroad, Brightline West, from Las Vegas to Los Angeles began after final approval from the Federal Railroad Administration.
